About The Podcast:
Welcome to Time for your Hobby, I’m your host Alex and this podcast is made for anyone with a hobby. Whether it's a big hobby or a small one, everyone can pull up a seat with me and share it with the world. The main objective of this podcast is to share with the world to the various hobbies people have, what kind of impacts it had on their lives, and get rid of any misconceptions. The host records the podcast is in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada but has guests located around the world, there's no geographical restriction when it comes to hobbies.
​I started this podcast in September 2018 to give a voice to people who want to be heard by sharing their hobby. If you were to ask me ''Why did you choose to start a podcast about hobbies?'' I would honestly tell you that I enjoy giving people a platform to share with the world the things that make them happy (in this case hobbies). We all live in a world where things can get a little hectic. So, I wanted to give back to the community (the world) by letting my guest have the stage to share their leisure time passion.
​I am fully aware that not every episode will appeal to every listener. But if you do choose to listen to multiple episodes, I can assure you that you will learn something new, not only about the hobby but the people behind them as well. No matter who you are, where you are from, what life experience you been through, I will eventually have a guest on my show that could related to you on multiple levels or simply one level.
​This is truly a podcast by the people, for the people. My show would not exist or be an amazing experience if it wasn't for my unique, creative, passionate, caring guests.
​I thank you all (the guests for taking the time out of your day to share your hobby and the listeners that also take time out of their day to want to learn more about people and their hobbies).

​About The Host (Alex):
​I've always enjoyed things in relation to audio. I started off as a rapper (my lyrics were more focused on the uplifting feeling, being there for each other and the feeling that you are on top of the world). As I became older, I decided to play around with music production programs to release the musical melodies that were bouncing around in my head. When it came to my instrumental style, I created everything from scratch and I enjoyed making the following style of music: Classical, Hip Hop, R&B, Lo-Fi, Scores (epic movie music). As much as I enjoy making music, I always wanted to make something that everyone can enjoy (music is subjective so I was limiting the potential people I can connect with).
​As I got older my voice became deeper, to the point where I started sounding like a radio host (that is indeed my real voice if you heard it on an episode). Many people said that I should be on the radio. As much as I liked the idea, I didn't just want to be on the radio because I have a deep voice, I wanted to make something productive that can benefit many people.
​One day I was speaking to a dear friend and she mentioned that she wanted to start a podcast and I thought to my self... Why don't I give it a shot as well? I have all the equipment ready and just needed an idea that could work. so how did I come up with the idea of a ''Hobby'' podcast? Honestly, it just randomly popped in my head out of nowhere and I didn't question whether or not to do it, I just did it.
​So that is a little intro of who I am and how I started this podcast. I can guarantee you that you will learn more about me in each episode.
